Civil Designer

Robert and Company has an opening for a Civil-Structural Designer. The Designer will provide design and drafting support for various structural design and civil site development projects from conceptual phase through construction documents. Tasks will include developing small and large-scale commercial, industrial, public works, and federal projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing complete sets of site development projects using CAD software including site geometry, utility, erosion and sediment control, grading/drainage plans and details in accordance with client and industry design standards
  • Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget
  • Independently complete redlines and plan revisions under the guidance of the registered professional engineers
  • Research and review deeds, ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state, and federal codes to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with project managers and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent training/experience
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroSoft 365
  • 3 to 5 year's experience with AutoCAD
  • 3 to 5 year's experience working in a civil design and consulting environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology
  • Registered as an Engineer in Training, EIT
  • Civil 3D strongly preferred
  • Revit

Mechanical Engineer, PE

Robert and Company has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer. Position requires at least 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a consulting environment. Professional registration (PE) required.

Successful candidate will design and review process piping, HVAC and plumbing systems, prepare and review plans and specifications and participate in construction management. Position requires strong technical and design calculation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work with people. Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit required. Experience with military and/or federal projects highly desirable. Experience with aircraft fuel storage and distribution facilities a plus.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US and must be capable of obtaining a Defense Security Clearance.
